¹⁴ having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness,^(A) which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.^(B)

⁵¹ At that moment the curtain of the temple^(A) was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split^(B)

³ Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,^(A)

²⁰ by a new and living way^(A) opened for us through the curtain,^(B) that is, his body,

³¹ “Make a curtain^(A) of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim^(B) woven into it by a skilled worker. ³² Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.^{(C) 33} Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the covenant law behind the curtain.^(D) The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.^{(E) 34} Put the atonement cover^(F) on the ark of the covenant law in the Most Holy Place. ³⁵ Place the table^(G) outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand^(H) opposite it on the south side.

⁶ Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law—before the atonement cover^(A) that is over the tablets of the covenant law—where I will meet with you.

³ Place the ark^(A) of the covenant law in it and shield the ark with the curtain. ⁴ Bring in the table^(B) and set out what belongs on it.^(C) Then bring in the lampstand^(D) and set up its lamps. ⁵ Place the gold altar^(E) of incense in front of the ark of the covenant law and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

⁶ “Place the altar^(F) of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting; ⁷ place the basin^(G) between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it. ⁸ Set up the courtyard^(H) around it and put the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard.

⁹ “Take the anointing oil and anoint^(I) the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it and all its furnishings,^(J) and it will be holy. ¹⁰ Then anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate^(K) the altar, and it will be most holy. ¹¹ Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them.

¹² “Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting^(L) and wash them with water.^{(M) 13} Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments,^(N) anoint him and consecrate^(O) him so he may serve me as priest. ¹⁴ Bring his sons and dress them in tunics.^{(P) 15} Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so they may serve me as priests. Their anointing will be to a priesthood that will continue throughout their generations.^(Q)” ¹⁶ Moses did everything just as the Lord commanded^(R) him.

¹⁷ So the tabernacle^(S) was set up on the first day of the first month^(T) in the second year. ¹⁸ When Moses^(U) set up the tabernacle, he put the bases in place, erected the frames,^(V) inserted the crossbars and set up the posts. ¹⁹ Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering^(W) over the tent, as the Lord commanded^(X) him.

²⁰ He took the tablets of the covenant law^(Y) and placed them in the ark,^(Z) attached the poles to the ark and put the atonement cover^(AA) over it. ²¹ Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the shielding curtain^(AB) and shielded the ark of the covenant law, as the Lord commanded^(AC) him.
